We welcome The Rev. Michael Dubbs to our service today.  Rev. Dubbs is a graduate of Wesley Theological Seminary in Washington, DC in 2007.  Youth Pastor – Millville United Methodist Church from 2000-2004.  Pastor – Mount Union/Allenport Charge from 2004-June 2011.  The Mount Union/Allenport Charge is a three church charge that includes:  Shirleysburg, Singer’s Gap and Allenport United Methodist Churches.  Since moving to North Carolina in July of 2011, he has been working at the Shearon Harris Nuclear Power Plant in New Hill as an armed security officer.

Rev. Mike has two daughters, both of whom live in Pennsylvania.  Michelle, 23 and Megan, 20.

The children of the church will be participating in the worship service on May 27th.   A light reception will be held following the service, sponsored by the Board of Deacons.

Sue Williamson has completed the 2010 Memorial Book, located in Memorial Room.  Please take time to remember those who we have loved and lost.

A Bunch for Lunch in honor of our Choir will be held on June 3rd following worship service, sponsored by the Women’s Fellowship and Men’s Fellowship.   Please bring a dish to share, but NO DESSERTS.   Ice cream dessert will be provided by the Men’s Fellowship.  Please plan to attend to thank our Choir for their “Joyful Noise” throughout the year.
